The battle flags catch the eye first, then you are drawn into the story of the painting. Hancock is portrayed in the midst of his life's most stirring moment. Hancock's calm presence inspired his men to hold that line at the angle, and following his example they did just that. This painting perfectly captures the most critical moment in the most critical battle of the Civil War. This print will always hold a prominent place in my home. Irish Pride Tom - 3/29/2012 I love this print. I am so pleased that Mr. Gallon placed Gen. Hancock riding the line with the 69th Pennsylvania "Philadelphia Brigade" in the background. Although the 69th got little credit for their actions during Picketts Charge they are the one unit at the corpse of trees that did not give ground during that attack. Click to review this product
