Catlett Station, VA, May 30, 1863 – Colt’s 1860 New Model Army Revolver – Includes image and history of the firearm – This ambush of a Federal supply train was the first of many by the legendary Confederate Partisan Ranger, John S. Mosby. Of his well-known preference for the Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver, Mosby wrote, “I think we did more than any other body of men to give the Colt pistol its great reputation.”
